This is just to add to the GameOPS official statement.

The statement GameOPS has released is in response to Pierre Tito Galla’s (Jester-In-Exile) posts(please refer to GameOPS official statement on the link above) which was a fusion of two different posts from two separate people(Siopao Master and Rocky).

In a nutshell, in his blog post he gloated about winning, showed that the GameOPS staff are bitter from not winning an award in the category they were nominated for and some other cruel stuff that I rather not mention. Several other bloggers(Reyna Elena and others) were mentioned for speaking their minds about what they think about the Philippine Blog Awards 2008.

Then we just really opted to not comment anymore. Then Jepoy informed me that he has received emails from readers coming from Jester-In-Exile’s blog about their disappointment that we were bitter and we accuse people of this and that.

I was never supportive of Jepoy when he decided to contact Jester-in-exile for some clarification and retraction because it was like giving him power over GameOPS. Well, Jester-In-Exile replied but as he would only do Jepoy’s request if he pleaded his case. Jepoy did. His requests was not fruitful. Then a few weeks ago he blogged about Jepoy but never mentioning his name yet in a manner that Jepoy knew he was the one being mentioned. I cautioned Jepoy about ever contacting Jester-In-Exile but he was really for the sake of GameOPS.

I am not against Pierre Tito Galla or anybody. I am just confused that why the heck would anyone act as if he was teaching someone a lesson when that person approached him in proper decorum. He was addressed to properly but he really gave Jepoy a tongue-lashing, a tongue-lashing Jepoy never deserved.

Why are some people really difficult to talk to? That I do not know.

I have been part of GameOPS and even older than that. I have seen it’s evolution from a Geocities hosted site to a phpNUKE website to becoming a gaming blog and being recognized by big websites like GamePRO, Engadget, GoNintendo, Kotaku, etc. It would be an understatement if I tell you that GameOPS is our baby.

It really hurts me that we have received emails that really puts the site in bad light. I conceptualized the igad character from years back and GameOPS never paid any royalties for using it. I never asked anything knowing that we all do this thing for our passion and never for any monetary gains or recognition.

For sure many in the blogging circles would say this: It doesn’t matter they’re ugly; They are just haters, Bitter Ocampo!; Don’t mind them they suck; It doesn’t matter were better.

Fact of the matter is we really don’t care as long as no fabricated lies are being thrown at us. We just do this for the love of writing, sharing information and know how and just for the heck of it.
