Ali ko balu ita ne. well, there are plenty of kapampangan words that have been lost to obscurity. I don't think the Ongpaucos(owners) have any malice in naming one of their attractions as Tacsiyapo and because the term is generally now comparatively used as an expression just like the Ilocano term ukitnas or "uki ni na mo" which almost have the same meaning but are now used as slang.

Hi Tucallo,

It's true that people nowadays use "Tacsiyapo" and "tacnaido" as mere expressions like "tangina." However, "tacsiyapo" is the shortened form of "antac ya y apu" (grandmother is a cunt) and "tacnaido" is the shortened form of "antac ya y indu" (mother is a cunt). If you say "tacnaido mo" (your mother is a cunt), you are effectively cursing him/her and his/her siblings and their descendants; and if you say "tacsiyapo mo" (your grandmother is a cunt), that includes his/her entire clan.

I don't know of the owners of the place you went to really know the meaning of this obscene expression.

Marc Nepomuceno
