Obama Makes His Inaugural Speech
President Barack Obama’s inaugural speech and I really liked what he has said over his speech. It was not one of the longest speech but it is a reflection of what is the reality that America is facing. His speech was brilliant and has the semblance to previous speeches by JFK and Martin Luther King Jr.
Here are some of the most memorable points he addressed:
“Greatness must be earned”
-This is where he reiterated the importance of the powers that America possess but not all Americans deserve
“Without a watchful eye the market will not prosper when it favors the prosperous”
-He addressed the negligence that fell upon the stock market crash and the unequal distribution of wealth within the United States
Common defense safety vs ideals rule of law not give them up for expedient safety…America is a friend of each nation.
-Focus on the war on Iraq and Afghanistan and an implied promise that such events will not happen again.
He also focused on America as a melting pot of different cultures, languages and lineage but reiterated that it is the America of today. He also makes references to the points about racism and how it has changed.
President Obama’s speech really showed the realities and his intentions in changing it. He also addressed concern not only for his fellow Americans but also the welfare of the world but also pressed a stern warning against corrupt governments around the world.
Transparency, change and a call for unity to face the changing times and handle the problems that have plagued America. We just hope that the promises Obama have pledged would come into fruition.
