Globe, Smart Bro, Bayantel, PLDT, etc have all their respective flaws and switching can be really tricky. A lot of us are complaining on how our ISP sucks. Shifting on another network is like guesswork because all of us have complains about our respective ISPs. I was reading the newspaper this morning and read about a partnership between San Miguel Corporation and QTel Group and it is called Wi-Tribe. Wi-Tribe is also available in other countries. The company promises to deliver 4G broadband to the country and all the 4G related services. I just hope it does not bring all the hassles and weaknesses of wired and wireless broadband services.

Here are some facts about 4G( according to Wi-Tribe)

Facts about 4G in a broadband application:

4G is broadband that delivers true wired speeds without wires.

4G is faster because it has more bandwidth.

4G is completely portable so you can enjoy it in your office, so you can bring it to your favorite coffee-shop, or your hang out.

4G is 3 times faster than 3G technology.

4G is the preferred broadband technology that will give you the richer, pleasurable internet experience you truly deserve.

Several bloggers are familiar with the curious case of Timothy Ellis Cumper. There are several blog posts about him and his insane accusations. A refresher on the events that led to his online tanrums:

Tim meets this lady online

Tim goes to the Philippines

The two did the thing that the birds and the bees won’t dare describe

Lady gets knocked up got into some complication gets surgery and asks Tim for financial help

Tim refused to send money( decided to set an all out smear campaign on the lady’s “co-conspirators”)

Recently, Tim began to harass anyone who he thinks might be involved with the entire thing.

Pepper is one of those whom he set his eyes upon just because a certain Jenny commented on Jepoy’s posts. This thing is really off the hook as Pepper was never called Jenny nor does she want to be called by any other name.

The GameOPS crew has also been on the receiving end of his shenanigans and some of us did not even bother to fight back as it was really a waste of our time. I on the other hand, just want him to be banned so not to cause anymore harm on unsuspecting people.

There are many more bloggers who have been harassed by Tim Cumper. Here are some of them: http://tcw.gameops.net

On a side-note Tim have created several fake accounts on numerous social network sites. I do not know what he plans on doing with it but here are some of them just to serve as a warning.

Fake mySpace Profiles:

Fake Plurk Account
- http://tinyurl.com/lthkc8

Fake Vox Account
- http://tinyurl.com/moz6kh

Fake Email
- http://tinyurl.com/55fz8e

Fake Usernames
- http://tinyurl.com/n3d4n9

I know this thing has been blown out of proportions but if he just said his side and be quiet then things might have been better. The truth is he did not even bother to send money so I cannot fathom the fact that he is acting like a psychopath. Personally I do not care whether there was a scam or not Tim did not seek the help of the authorities it was his fault he just consulted a bunch of experts and then this:

Now there is threat of the law upon those who dispute his accusation. In my opinion, if you really believed in the law there are several government agencies here and in the UK who can help you with that in the first place. Oopps I don’t think you would do that lest your wife finds out!

I am not a new blogger, yet I am not a new one. I have tried blogging even years before but it did not appeal to me as I found it too laborious. I was given a nudge by Jepoy that blogging is fun so I tried again but this time he made it easy. He put out a layout that I wanted and I just posted. I have been blogging sparingly since then but at least I was blogging. I have been doing it for less than a year now.

There was an event last year that deeply annoyed me and that was the Philippine Blog Awards. I know our site GameOPS lost and we found the results anomalous so we voiced out our thoughts. There was an annoying PBA winner that bad mouthed the people who voiced out their concerns about that said award, heck he even said cuss words towards a blogger. After the dust settled there was not an act to even address the concerns from the award giving body.

I joined Barrio Siete because I wanted to be part of something awesome, a no-holds-barred kind of thing. I was not disappointed, the traffic was phenomenal the post quality was good then there was this Ten Emerging Influential Blogs 2009. I thought Barrio Siete was a shoo-in but come awarding time the blog was not in it. I am not comparing blogs here I just felt that Barrio Siete had a titan of a chance of winning. Then it was clear to me, it was a popularity contest. Some of the winners indeed deserve to win but some are mediocre.

I did not write this post to complain neither did I do it because I am a member of Barrio Siete. I am not part of any cult to destroy somebody’s name. I just wrote this because I am just a regular blogger heck I am nobody. I do not expect to win any awards nor try to achieve something. I am just trying to be a blogger and with this sad twist of events I ask myself a few questions: “Ganito ba talaga ang mga blogging awards?, Why are there cliques in the blogging world? Does this affect the said awards? What really did happen?”

The questions keep running and I know a lot more people are asking the same questions but still they keep on being unanswered. In a world of uncertainty all we ask for in this world I a decent explanation. Clarity if you may, but I think that there are many of us who choose to keep the questions unanswered.
